Monrovia, December 17, 2020 - The Liberia-Cuba solidarity group actively participated in the virtual meeting "60 years of embracing friendship", organized by the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its foundation.
The event was an opportunity for the members of the Liberia-Cuba solidarity group to congratulate ICAP on its 60th birthday for twinning Cuba with the peoples of the world, and to once again condemn the cruel US blockade and its negative effects on the different sectors of life in the country.
At the event, a documentary was shown about the work done by the solidarity brigades in the international camp "Julio A. Mella" in Caimito. The support of the friends of solidarity with Cuba to the nomination of the Henry Reeve brigade for the Nobel Peace Prize was also acknowledged.
In his speech, ICAP's President Fernando Gonzalez pointed out that the solidarity movement in the planet has only one name FIDEL, and alleged that ICAP's work is to harvest love for peace lovers.
The event culminated with music as a sign of the joy of the Cuban people to celebrate 60 years of solidarity and friendship.
