Liberian medical graduates thank Cuba for their education.

Monrovia, August 6, 2024 - The two Liberian medical students who graduated this year in Cuba were awarded Gold Diplomas for their academic performance and integrity.

Both students thanked Cuba for their achievements and training.

The Liberian authorities conveyed their gratitude since thanks to the Cuba-Liberia Scholarship Plan the African country has benefited from graduates, engineers, doctors and health technicians; fruits of the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Cuba is committed to the training of an ethical professional, with high values and principles of humanism and solidarity, with the task of bringing health to their respective peoples and thus fulfill the task of saving lives.

Founded in 1999 under the action and political will of Fidel, ELAM provides free education to hundreds of humble young people who, after completing their studies, will return to their communities to contribute to the sustainability of their health systems.

The main objective of the institution is the training of Basic General Practitioners, oriented to the work of primary health care and with a high scientific, humanistic, ethical and solidary preparation.
