Malacca Governor pays homage to comrade Fidel Castro

Kuala Lumpur, November 28 - Tun Khalil Yaakob, Governor of the state of Malacca, signed the book of condolences opened at the Cuban embassy on the occasion of the physical disappearance of the leader of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.

At the conclusion of the signing, Governor Khalil reiterated to Cuban ambassador IbeteFernández his admiration for him and recalled his meetings with Fidel on the occasion of his official visit to Malaysia in 2001 and again in Havana when he travelled to Cuba as part of a Malaysian official delegation.

The Malaysian leader described comrade Fidel as a "world-class figure highly respected by all" and said he was sure that the lessons of bravery and humanism he gave to Cuba will last forever.
