Medical Brigade Conducts Annual Work Review

Port of Spain, January 25th, 2025. The work carried out during 2024 and the proposals for its continuity in 2025 were the focus of analysis during the annual review conducted by the Medical Brigade in Trinidad and Tobago.

Among the achievements highlighted was the signing of the extension of the Health Agreement, which guarantees the presence of the Medical Brigade in Trinidad for another five years. In accordance with the terms of the Agreement and the commitment undertaken, the collaborators reaffirmed their willingness to continue providing their services to public health in Trinidad and Tobago, while also properly representing Cuba.

During the meeting, the performance of the top collaborators from the five regions of the country's health system was recognized, and discussions were held on the challenges to be faced to achieve greater efficiency in their work.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Orlando Díaz Gómez, Coordinator of the Medical Brigade, and was attended by Ambassador Gustavo Veliz Olivares, Counselor Julio Cabada, and Anand Munessar, an official from the International Cooperation Directorate of the Ministry of Health.
