Meeting between the Cuban Ambassador to Canada and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Toronto.

The Cuban Ambassador to Canada Héctor Igarza Cabrera held a courtesy meeting with the Honorable Ted Arnott, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

During the exchange, the Cuban Ambassador highlighted the outstanding participation of women in the Cuban parliament and referred to the election process in Cuba and to the negative impact of the U.S. blockade on our people. The meeting was followed by a guided tour of the legislative building and an open session of parliament.

The Cuban side was also represented by Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, Consul General in Toronto, and Consul Tania Valenzuela.
