The Cuban Ambassador to Canada, Héctor Igarza Cabrera, made a presentation on business opportunities in the largest island country of the Antilles during the event with businessmen based in Toronto. In his presentation, the Ambassador highlighted the guarantees, new modalities and attractive sectors for Canadian businessmen; while Mark Entwistle, Managing Partner of Acasta Cuba Capital, shared his company's experiences in commercial relations with our country.
The event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade (MEDJCT) of Ontario and the General Consulate of Cuba in Toronto, was attended by an important group of companies and businessmen, both Canadian and Cuban residents, from different sectors. The stage was favorable for direct tourism promotion by travel agencies that work with the Cuba destination, and by the Tourism Office in Toronto.
The Canadian side was represented by Vitaly Paroshyn, Director of the Export Growth Branch to Europe and America of the above-mentioned ministry and members of his team, officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Cuban side was also represented by Yanier Castellanos Orta, Consul General in Toronto, and members of the Consulate.
