Meeting with the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick

On an official visit to New Brunswick, the Consul General in Montreal, Susana Malmierca, paid a courtesy call on the Lieutenant Governor of the province, the Honorable Brenda L. Murphy. 

During the meeting, the Consul General recorded in the Lieutenant Governor's guest book her appreciation for the warm welcome to the province and emphasized her satisfaction to continue working to strengthen the ties between Cuba and New Brunswick. 

She also provided an update on the development of women in Cuba. There was great interest in the progress made in this area and the application of the National Program for the Advancement of Women. The implementation of the Family Code and its impact on the Cuban society was also discussed.
