Luxembourg, September 4, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador, Anet Pino Rivero, as part of her visit to Luxembourg, held a meeting with Mr. Carlo Thelen, Director General of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce is an institution that promotes and encourages economic and commercial relations between Luxembourg and other countries of the world. For this reason, topics of common interest were addressed, such as the identification of economic and commercial sectors that allow promoting relations between Luxembourg and Cuba in this area.
During the meeting, the Cuban Ambassador offered relevant data on the economic and social situation in Cuba.
It was essential to highlight the effects caused by the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed by the United States Government against Cuba and the unjust inclusion of Cuba in the List of Sponsors of Terrorism, which constitute unilateral measures that affect the Island's trade with other countries of the world.
Likewise, business and investment opportunities that Cuba has and that may be of interest to Luxembourg entrepreneurs, such as the Mariel Special Development Zone, were promoted.
