Victoria, September 19th.._ The Cuban Embassy in Seychelles became this Sunday, September 18, the location of the Electoral College, where Cuban diplomats and health collaborators exercised their secret and direct vote for the new Family Code.
The new legislative norm was approved in its 25th version by the National Assembly last July, after an intense and enriching process of popular consultation that included the contribution of experts, academics and the population in general.
On September 25, Cubans on the island will hold a referendum of the new Family Code, which is considered transcendental because of the wide range of rights and opportunities it guarantees to all people.
The new legislation will replace the text in force since 1976.
