Message to the people of Cuba by Army General Raúl Castro, President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba

 Dear people of Cuba:

With deep pain I appear to inform our people and the peoples of the world that today November 25, at 10:29 p.m., the Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz passed away.

In compliance with the expressed will of comrade Fidel, his remains will be cremated.

In the early hours of Saturday 26th, the organizing committee of the funerals will provide our people with detailed information on the arrangements for the posthumous homage that will be rendered to the founder of the Cuban Revolution.
