The Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia and Parliament Member, H.E. Mr. Luvsantseren Enkh-AMGALAM received the Cuban ambassador, Jorge Ferrer. Also present was the director of the Ministry's Department of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Ms. Narantuya Shar.
The Cuban diplomat reported the granting by the island of three scholarships for Mongolian students for Cuban universities in 2023 through bilateral cooperation.
Both parties discussed the development and challenges of education and science in both countries, including the Cuban vaccines against Covid-19 that have made it possible to immunize 90% of the population, including children.
They also exchanged ideas on possible modalities for mutually beneficial cooperation in education and science, taking into account the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and the food production.
The head of Education and Science reiterated his gratitude to Cuba for the training of more than 150 Mongolian professionals in its universities through the scholarship program since 1963.
Both parties agreed on the importance of the bilateral agreement for the mutual recognition of titles, signed a few years.
