The Minister of Education of Trinidad and Tobago closes Spanish language course.

Port of Spain, June 15, 2018. In the presence of the Minister of Education of Trinidad and Tobago, Honorable Anthony Garcia, the first stage of the Spanish language, literature, culture and education course was closed at the NALIS Library . This course was taught with the collaboration of the Latin American Embassies and Spain.

At the ceremony, the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Dr. José Serulle Ramia, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic, spoke about the importance of the Spanish language for Trinidad and Tobago as the second official language in the country.

Some of the graduate students who were grateful for the possibility of receiving the classes taught also spoke. All spoke in Spanish language.

The Minister, for his part, thanked the Latin American Diplomatic Missions and Spain for the support received and urged them to continue working in the teaching of the Spanish language and the culture of the different countries.

Several Ambassadors and Heads of Diplomatic Missions, directors of NALIS, among others, were also present.

At the end of the meeting a friendly cocktail was held.
