Minister for Women Empowerment and Child Protection of Indonesia welcomes the Cuban Ambassador

Indonesia, January 12, 2017. Dr Yohana S. Yembise, Minister for Women Empowerment and Child Protection of Indonesia, received the Cuban Ambassador to this country, Nirsia Castro Guevara, today´s morning.

During the meeting they talked about the important role that women play in today's society and the need for it to gain major recognition every day. The Ambassador highlighted the progress made in Cuba in the empowerment of women and their important presence in all spheres of the country, as well as in the protection of children. Minister Yembise expressed her gratitude for the information provided and expressed her support for maintain the exchanges that will deepen the understanding of the challenges faced by women in both countries.
