Mobilization in St. Kitts and Nevis for Cuba against the blockade.
Basseterre, October 30, 2022: In support of the great international movement that has been generated against the United States blockade, supportive friends and Cubans living in Basseterre and Charlestown mobilized this weekend to demand the cessation of this aggressive policy that directly and mainly affects Cuban families.
The main venues for such actions were the hospitals and health centers of this Federation, where a significant number of people linked to Cuba work; some of them because of their origins, others because they studied there and others simply because of the admiration and affection they feel towards the Greater Antilles.
The St Kitts and Nevis-Cuba Friendship Association also issued a public statement expressing its rejection of such a policy and demanding its immediate elimination.
Throughout the year, on the last weekend of each month, from different parts of the world, the demand is repeated for the President of the United States, Joe Biden, to lift all sanctions against Cuba and the unilateral siege imposed by successive governments of the White House. This Sunday had the particularity that it was the last international mobilization prior to the vote at the United Nations, in favor of the resolution that the Cuban Foreign Minister will present for the thirtieth time, on November 3.
