National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party dismisses the Cuban Ambassador

The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González paid a farewell visit to Mr. Freddie Blay, National Chairman of the ruling party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), at the party's headquarters in Accra.

The meeting was held in a cordial and relaxed atmosphere, which allowed for an exchange on issues of bilateral interest, as well as occasional updates on the reality of both countries. The Cuban Ambassador addressed the damage caused to the Cuban population by the continuation of the US blockade, which is the main obstacle to advancing the development of the country. It also addressed the effects that third countries also suffer, due to the extraterritorial scope of several of their measures.
