The National Library of Trinidad and Tobago donates books to the "José Martí" National Library.

Port of Spain, December 8, 2023. The National Library of Trinidad and Tobago (NALIS) today made a donation of books to the "Jose Martí" National Library, as part of the cultural exchange actions after the signing last July of a Memorandum of Understanding between both entities.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Trinidad and Tobago, Tania Diego Olite, received the books from Michelle Garcia de Armesto, Acting Director of the Heritage Library Division, and Avolon Thomas, Director of Human Resources of the entity and in charge of cultural exchange programs.

The collection includes books on history, music, cooking, nature and copies of the novels “Green days by the river” and “A house for Mr. Biswas” by the famous writers Michael Anthony and N.V. Naipaul (Nobel Prize for Literature 2001) respectively.
