New beginnings between Cuba and the Ogun State Senate

Abuja, September 7th, 2023.- Mrs. Miriam Morales, ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Nigeria, received His Excellency Mr. Otunba Engr. Gbenga Daniel, senator for the state of Ogun.

During the meeting they addressed topics of common interest, especially those related to the health sector. The Senator recognized Cuba's advances in medicine and highlighted the cultural and religious ties that unite us with the State of Ogun, a practitioner of the Yoruba religion, with part of the Cuban population.

The ambassador thanked his for the words conveyed and extended an invitation to visit Cuba and in this way he could experience the main advances and strengths of the country that could be of interest to raise the quality of life of the habitants of this region.

The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere and served as a starting point to lay the foundations for future exchanges in various sectors.

Counselor Pavel Bauzá Fusté, and Third Secretary Ana Flavia Gómez Pavot, both officials of the Cuban diplomatic mission, were also present at the meeting.
