Riyadh, April 25th – The new Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Shayea Mohsen Al-Zindani, received a courtesy visit from the Cuban Ambassador to that country and resident in the Saudi capital, Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada.
During the pleasant meeting, the Cuban diplomat conveyed greetings and congratulations for his recent appointment as minister on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, who expressed his wishes for the peace and well-being of the Yemeni people, united by historical ties of friendship and collaboration with the Cuban people.
The opportunity was also favorable to discuss bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and the different ways to strengthen them, even in the midst of the adverse conditions that could affect them.
The Ambassador wished to Dr. Al-Zindani success in his new and important functions as Foreign Minister, highlighting Cuba's support for the Yemeni government and its efforts to return peace, stability and security to the Arab nation.
For his part, the minister reciprocated the greetings of his Cuban counterpart and thanked him for the congratulations on the occasion of his appointment, while recalling with pleasure his close relationship with Cuban authorities and professionals during his extensive diplomatic career, as well as his visit to Havana in the 80’s of the last century.
Likewise, he praised the historic bilateral relations between the two countries, based on friendship and collaboration, expressing his recognition and gratitude for the permanent position of solidarity of the Cuban authorities in support of the Yemeni government and people. (EmbaCuba Arabia Saudita)
