Roseau. Dominica, December 14, 2022. The new Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade and Energy of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Honourable Dr. Vince Henderson, received today the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in this sister nation, Ulises Arranz Fernandez. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Dominica Foreign Ministry and was also attended by the permanent secretary of that Ministry, Barbara Dailey.
During the meeting, the cuban ambassador thanked Minister Henderson for the invitation to hold this meeting and referred to the congratulatory Twitter issued by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, on the occasion of the appointment of Dr. Vincent Henderson, as new Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business, Trade and Energy of the Commonwealth of Dominica. The minister, Honourable Dr. Vince Henderson, thanked the congratulations and expressed Dominica's willingness to continue increasing relations between the two countries.
The ambassador reiterated the gratitude for the traditional position of the government of Dominica condemning the embargo of the US government against Cuba, for the request that Cuba be removed from the spurious list of countries sponsoring terrorism issued by the government of the United States, and for recognition of Dominica for the work carried out by cuban health collaborators
The meeting made possible to review the state of the different issues currently being worked on, with the aim of giving them a boost and increasing bilateral relations between both countries. The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship, cordiality and mutual understanding; characteristic of the excellent relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
