New steps to develop cooperation between Cuba and Liberia.

The Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera was received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia for International Cooperation and Economic Integration, Mr. Dehpue Zuo. The working meeting was held in the Liberian chancellery.

Both sides discussed various aspects related to the future presence of Cuban collaborators in the African nation. Also discussed was the training of young professionals from Liberia - particularly from rural areas - in the Caribbean nation. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, in which both parties expressed the mutual will of their governments to contribute to the strengthening of bilateral ties and the rapprochement between two peoples with common ancestry.

Also present at the meeting, on the Liberian side, were Mr. Dave Kontue, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Economic Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, and on the Cuban side Carmen Maury Toledo, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Cuba in the African country.
