Abuja, September 12, 2023:-The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Miriam Morales Palmeros, said goodbye at the Abuja International Airport to the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Kashim Shettima. The Ambassador begins his tour with Cuba as his final destination with the objetive to participate in the Summit of heads of state and government of the G77+China that will take place in Havana on September 15 and 16.
In the exchange held hours before his departure, Vice President Shettima, expressed that he felt proud and happy to have the opportunity to visit Cuba, a country for which he expressed great admiration due to their spirit of resistance and courage demonstrated during all these years of unjust and inhuman blockade. Several ministers and representatives of local governments accompanied him.
At the familiar meeting, the interest of both parties in strengthening economic-commercial exchange and cooperation between both countries was reaffirmed.
This moment, according to the Cuban ambassador in Nigeria, is marking a milestone for bilateral relations between both countries. It will be only the first step towards a future full of prosperity and excellent relations.
