The Consulate of Cuba in Ireland advice that, in compliance with international standards, we have begun the issuance of Cuban passports with biometric data and the issuance of machine-readable visas.
For the registration of Biometric Data (photo and fingerprints), Cuban citizens who are going to request a new passport because the previous one has expired or lost, must personally go to our Consulate to carry out the procedure. They must bring the "Passport Renewal Form" duly compiled, the Passport (with a photocopy of the pages that have information) and a legible photocopy of their birth certificate and / or identity card of Cuba or at least the number thereof, in case to own it.
As of January 1, 2019, new passport applications will NOT be accepted by postal mail. Users should refrain from sending passport requests through this channel, as they will NOT be processed.
In the case of Visas, except the Tourist Card, they will be affixed to the Passport by printing them with the person's photo and for this they must accompany a high-quality passport photo to the "Visa Application Form", duly compiled or visit our Consulate to take the photo.
This process does not affect the extensions of passports, which will continue to be carried out in the usual procedure.
