Canberra, November 24, 2022 - The new Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba has been officially constituted for the current legislature of the Australian Federal Parliament (period 2022-2025).
The group is made up of a total of 32 federal parliamentarians; of them, 21 deputies of the House of Representatives and 11 Senators.
The Group will be chaired by Sharon Claydon, Labor MP, who in turn holds the position of Vice-President of the House of Representatives in the Federal Parliament. Claydon MP served as Group Vice Chair from 2019-2022.
The Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba constitutes a propitious way to strengthen relations and parliamentary exchange between both countries.
