Peace activists, anti-war activists and friends of Cuba will gather in Guantanamo once more, from May 4 to May 6, 2022 to demand the elimination of foreign bases and facilities in the countries of our region and worldwide.
For that purpose, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP in Spanish) and the World Peace Council (WPC) have called to take part in the Seventh International Seminary for Peace and for the Abolition of NATO and U.S. Foreign Military Bases, an event that is already making history since it will be held in the same territory where the United States have kept a naval base without legal support.
The event will be the perfect setting to reiterate the importance and validity of the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a peace zone, approved by the heads of State and Government of the region during the Second Summit of the Community of Latin America and the Caribbean States in 2014 in Havana.
