Vienna, March 27. The President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Fernando González Llort, exchanged with Austrian solidarity friends at the headquarters of the Austrian Confederation of Trade Unions (ÖGB).
During the meeting, the Hero of the Republic of Cuba debated with the participants about the Cuban reality and thanked, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, the support of the solidarity movements with our country. The Cuban visitor denounced the strong impact on Cuba's development and economy of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America and the inclusion of Cuba in the illegal and arbitrary list of State sponsors of terrorism of the US State Department.
The participants were interested in aspects of the political and socio-economic reality of the country and ratified their willingness to continue implementing actions that contribute to improving the situation of the country and to continue denouncing the genocidal blockade in order to eliminate it.
The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Pablo Berti Oliva and other officials from ICAP and the Cuban Embassy in Austria.
