Monrovia, April 12, 2021 - The Cuban Head of Mission in Monrovia, Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, held a fraternal and fruitful meeting with the president of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association, Mr. Kesselee K. Kanneh. The occasion was propitious to plan actions for the coming months.
Diplomat Martínez Herrera explained the current economic situation of the country and the challenges for the year 2021, despite the intensification of the illegal, abusive and genocidal blockade maintained by the government of the United States against the island, and updated the unconditional friend of Cuba on the reality of the Greater of the Antilles, particularly on the results in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic and on other aspects of the events in our country.
The Liberian executive reiterated his solidarity with Cuba and highlighted among the work priorities for the current year the fight against the intensification of the illegal, abusive and genocidal blockade maintained by the government of the United States against our country.
The meeting emphasized the historical ties of solidarity and friendship that unite both nations and the aid that Cuba has provided to the peoples of the world and especially to African countries.
