The Ambassador of Cuba, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, was received by Mr. Jomo Sanga Thomas, President of the Parliament of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, at the headquarters of the Assembly.
Jomo Thomas warmly referred, to the recent visit he made to Cuba, together with the Vice President of parliament, Carlos James.
The parties exchanged extensively on various aspects of Cuban news, as well as on the presentation at the UN General Assembly, on October 31, of the draft resolution on the need to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade, imposed for the USA against Cuba.
The Ambassador made a brief update on the damage and the impact of the blockade, from April 2017 to March 2018, contained in the report prepared by Cuba, pursuant to resolution 72/4 of the General Assembly of the United Nations, of which the diplomat delivered a copy to the President of Parliament.
Jomo Thomas, meanwhile, reiterated his absolute support and solidarity with the battle of Cuba and the international community, almost entirely, to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on the largest island of the Greater Antilles.
