The President of Sinn Féin Mary Lou McDonald and Parliamentarians of that political organization bid farewell to the Ambassador of Cuba in Ireland, who concludes his diplomatic mission.

Dublin, February 08, 2022. Hugo Rene Ramos Milanes, Cuban ambassador to Ireland, who will shortly conclude his diplomatic mission, was received at the Parliament headquarters by Mary Lou McDonald, president of Sinn Féin and by a group of parliamentarians from that political organization.

During the fraternal meeting, the traditional relationship of friendship and solidarity of Sinn Féin towards the Revolution and the Cuban people was ratified. Ambassador Ramos Milanes reiterated his gratitude for Sinn Féin determined support for putting an end to the criminal economic blockade that for more than 60 years has sought to suffocate the Cuban economy and overthrow the Revolution.

The Cuban diplomat recalled many of the solidarity actions promoted by Sinn Féin militants in these complex times of pandemic in which the yankee government has unleashed a fierce destabilization campaign, believing that it could defeat the Revolution and the sovereign will of Cubans.
