Progressive forces in Nepal ratified their support to the Cuban Revolution.

As part of his work program in Nepal, Cuba's Chargé d'Affaires a.i., Abel Aballe Despaigne, held several meetings with leaders of leftist political forces, parliamentarians and organizations in solidarity with Cuba in Nepal.

Among them were Narayan Man Bijukchhe (Rohit), chairman of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP); the active chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN)-Unified Socialist, Rajendra Prasad Pande; NPC-Marxist Leninist Unified Marxist Party's Head of International Relations; Member of the House of Representatives and former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal, Raghubir Mahaseth; NPC General Secretary Biplav; NPC-Marxist Leninist Secretary General C. P Mainali; and Chairman of the Nepal Peace and Solidarity Committee Rabindra Adhikari; as well as leaders of various student, youth and peasant organizations.

In all the meetings, the sentiments of friendship, solidarity and admiration for Cuba, its people and the Revolution were highlighted. They also expressed their commitment to continue supporting Cuba in its struggle against the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States, particularly the exclusion of Cuba from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

The Cuban diplomat, for his part, expressed his gratitude for the expressions of support for our people; at the same time he updated on the current situation on the island and the damage caused by the policy of aggression against Cuba by the United States.

Both parties also exchanged on possible actions to be undertaken to continue developing relations between these organizations and their counterparts in Cuba.
