THE PROSPECTS OF COOPERATION BETWEEN CUBA AND SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES INCREASE IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

The Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, received Mr. Saboto Caesar, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries and Rural Transformation of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission on   January 17th

The parties analyzed the prospects for bilateral cooperation that open at the heat of the projects and integral plans of rural development and of the increase of the agricultural production anticipated by the sister Island of the Eastern Caribbean in the frame of its commitment to a sustainable agriculture and food security.

The further use of artificial insemination to increase stocking density, successfully applied in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines by Cuban specialists in 2015, advice on various crops, the application of science to agricultural production, the utilization of Bio-pesticides and other products, as well as the production of handicrafts with local raw materials, were among the topics addressed by the parties in a rich and promising exchange of concrete actions for the benefit of both countries and peoples.
