Religious service opens the calendar of activities for this year of the Cuban Alumni Association
Basseterre, February 19th, 2024- As every year, the Cuban Alumni Association's calendar of activities began this Sunday with a religious service in which Cuba was the protagonist. On this occasion, the appointment was at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church of Molineux.
The main speech, given by the president of the Association, Hollis Prentice, was aimed at informing the young parishioners and family members of that town about the scholarship program that Cuba offers every year to sister nations and encouraging them to study there as a unique opportunity that should not be wasted.
The pastor of the church during the sermon, referred to Cuba as an island full of goodness, which has done much for friendly nations. He criticized the media campaigns that are generated against the Island from various parts of the world and encouraged those present to learn more about the country and its people.
Ambassador David Rivero participated as a guest as every year.
