From Saint Kitts and Nevis, bridges of love extend to Cuba
Basseterre, April 29, 2024- From Saint Kitts and Nevis, love bridges were also extended this weekend, as part of the international mobilizations that have taken place in solidarity with Cuba, and in rejection of the criminal policy of the United States against the island.
Representatives of friendship associations, Cuban residents, as well as Cuban health and sport collaborators, were the protagonists of what was experienced this Sunday in Basseterre.
Dr. Ladislao Taquechel, president of the Association of Cuban Residents in St. Kitts and Nevis, conveyed the feeling of all his fellow countrymen who want prosperity for their homeland, by expressing their strong condemnation of the persistence of the blockade against Cuba and its inclusion in the illegitimate list of countries that sponsor terrorism. "Cuba is a country of peace, and it will continue to be so," he said, while ratifying the unchangeable commitment to his Homeland.
On behalf of the Friendship Association St. Kitts and Nevis- Cuba, Telca Wallace condemned American interference in the economy, sovereignty and freedom of the Cuban people. Likewise, he reaffirmed her full confidence and solidarity with Cuba and its Revolution that, in the current context, she expressed, "continues to be an essential point of reference leading to the a of path of authentic liberation"
The mobilization was also conducive to welcome the upcoming International Workers' Day and served as a starting point for the agenda that throughout the month of May will commemorate the 29th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Cuba.
