SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES IS ON THE WAY TO EXPAND THE SPECTRUM OF ITS COLLABORATION WITH CUBA.

Cuban Ambassador Vilma Reyes Valdespino received the Honorable Saboto Caesar, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformation, Industry and Labor of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines at the headquarters of the Cuban Mission.

The Minister, who is also the parliamentary representative of the South Central Windward constituency, referred to the development projects in which the country is immersed and to the integral focus that they give to activities such as tourism, called to grow significantly in the next years, with the decisive support of the new Argyle International Airport, built with the help of Cuba and the new hotel capacities projected.

Minister Saboto, who, since November 2017, also has the portfolios of Industry and Labor, pondered the impulse that spheres such as tourism can give to the economy of the country, not only for the services directly linked to tourist attention and the consequent creation of jobs, but also for the production of food and cultural goods to cover the needs of tourist facilities and the visitors themselves.

Recognizing the great path traveled by Cuba in tourism, agriculture, the production of cultural goods, among others, Minister Saboto pointed out that Cuban collaboration, experience and technical assistance will be the key to the Vincentian development projects.
