Riyadh, March 19th - A delegation from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) paid a successful working visit to Cuba, continuing the negotiations on economic cooperation projects with their counterparts in the Island.
The delegation was headed by the Executive Director of the Local Content Sector in the Fund, Mr. Abdul Mohsen Abdulrahman Al-Khayal, and also made up of the General Director of the Loans Department, Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Saif, and the General Director of Loans Finance Department, Mr. Ayman Mohammed Al-Tulayhi.
The senior executives of the SFD completed an extensive program, during which they were received by Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, with whom they exchanged about the importance of the projects carried out with financing from the Fund and their economic and social impact on the territories and populations where they were made.
They also held meetings with the President of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, the acting minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, and the Deputy Director of the Office of the Historian of Havana.
The delegation had the opportunity to visit the projects completed with the cooperation of the Fund in the province of Matanzas, particularly in Cardenas city, where they were received and attended by their authorities. There the visitors were impressed with the efficiency in the use of resources and the documentary control related the works carried out.
At the end of their visit, the SFD representatives were able to verify the value that Cuba attaches to the projects financed by that prestigious institution and their importance for sectors such as health, hydraulic development, and the country's food program. (EmbaCuba Arabia Saudita)
