The Cuban Ambassador to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, was received by the Secretary East, Saurabh Kumar. During the meeting, they highlighted the good state of relations between the two countries, after more than sixty years of continuous friendship, solidarity and cooperation. They emphasized the shared will to strengthen bilateral ties and exchanged ideas to broaden and deepen bilateral ties, particularly between both Ministries of Foreign Affairs, based on the exchange of visits and the continuity of the inter-foreign political consultations, as well as the ways to realize the existing potentialities in the economic and commercial sphere.
The Cuban diplomat thanked India for its support in the struggle against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of United States on the people of Cuba in the position of backing the resolution approved within the framework of the United Nations General Assembly, which demands the lifting of this illegal and genocidal policy.
