Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan joined the many expressions of solidarity, respect and admiration for Cuba at the opening session of the General Debate of the G77+China Summit in Havana.
In his speech he advocated for greater global integration and the need to also address issues such as embargos.
"Such constraints severely hamper scientific progress and impede the advancement of technology and innovation. Moreover, they cause untold suffering to ordinary citizens. A case in point is our host country. I take this opportunity to once again renew our full support for the government and people of Cuba and to reiterate our call for an end to the US blockade against Cuba in accordance with the UN Resolution," Ramkalawan stated.
In his speech, he also urged the G77 leaders to adopt a more collaborative effort to achieve the necessary inclusive development of the countries of the South.
