Yesterday morning, Cuban Ambassador Carmelina Ramirez signed the Book of Condolences opened by the Embassy of Mozambique in honor of the victims of Cyclone Idai, which hit the north of that country and part of Zimbabwe. The ambassador went with the Third Secretary of the Embassy, the official Vladimir Guerra who also signed the book. Cyclone Idai spent last week in the city of Beira, destroying everything in its path towards Zimbabwe and Malawi. More than 450 deaths are estimated in Mozambique and more than 750 among the 3 countries so far, it is expected that the number will increase as the waters fall and debris moves.
