On April 2 the Danish newspaper Arbejderen published an article that describes a project promoted by residents of the Faroe Islands (autonomous territory of Denmark), which consists of crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a rowing boat towards Cuba and continue to the United States, with a message of friendship among peoples. The protagonists of the journey, which has not been done previously in this modality, carry with them a letter supported by 12 deputies of the Danish Parliament who belong to eight of the thirteen political parties that are represented at the Parliament. Amongst the signatories is the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anders Samuelsen.
The crew is expected to arrive in Cuba in late April or early May, depending on the weather impact. (Embacuba Dinamarca)
