A solidarity statement with the Government and People of the Republic of Cuba from the Barbados Cuba Friendship Association.
The Barbados Cuba Friendship Association and Progressive Forces in Barbados join with the World Progressive Force to express our solidarity with the Government and People of the Republic of Cuba. Our Movements in Barbados continue to condemn all actions by the Government of the USA, that are against the Government and People of the Republic of Cuba, and we also call on the Governments of CARICOM to condemn these actions that are created by the Government of the USA, against the peace-loving People of the Republic of Cuba.
The Government of the USA actions towards the People of Cuba are very hostile and are creating the conditions to make life hard for the Cuban People and are impacting on the areas of health, transport, electricity, and the distribution of foods.
The Barbados Cuba Friendship Association and Progressive Forces in Barbados demand the following from the Government of the USA:
(1) The removal of the Political and Economic Blockade against the Government and People of the Republic of Cuba.
(2) The end of all terrorist action against the Government and People of the Republic of Cuba.
(3) The removal of the USA Military buses in Guantanamo Bay, Republic of Cuba.
(4) That the Government of the USA respect the Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba.
(5) That the Government of the USA removed the trade barriers that creates problems for health, food, and transport in the Republic of Cuba.
The Barbados Cuba Friendship Association will hold the 1st Caribbean Solidarity Conference on the 5th October 2024 in the island of Barbados and will officially launch the Caribbean Solidarity Movement with Cuba, Venezuela and Just Causes. We will use this opportunity to recognize the 6th October 2024 as Cuba- CARICOM Day against Terrorism. Our Association will also join the World Peace Council and the Caribbean Peace Movements at the planned event against the Military Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and the Regional Meeting of the World Peace Council in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba in the month of May 2024.
