An event of solidarity with Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba took place at the headquarters of the BJMF Union in Copenhagen, which consisted of a conference on the media war in Latin America, followed by a cultural activity. The ambassador of Cuba in Denmark, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas; the ambassador of Nicaragua to the Scandinavian countries, Ricardo Alvarado Noguera and the Chargé d’ affaires of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Scandinavian countries, Orlando Ramos Ortegano Quevedo were among the speakers at the conference. The representative of the BJMF union and the president of the Danish-Cuban Friendship Association also intervened.
The event, organized by the network of solidarity with Venezuela in Denmark, was a space to denounce the media campaign carried out by imperialism to distort reality in Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, aimed at promoting its policy of "regime change" in these countries. The diplomats referred to the current situation that is happening in their respective nations.
Likewise, the Cuban ambassador emphasized on the tightening of the blockade as the main obstacle to the development of the Island, as well as the efforts made by the Cuban government to continue making progress and improving the well-being of the population. She also explained the recent results of the constitutional referendum where the new Constitution of the Republic of Cuba was approved by the Cuban people, which was an unquestionable evidence of democratic exercise. In this framework, the importance of solidarity and standing united in defense of national sovereignty and self-determination of peoples were highlighted. (Embacuba Dinamarca)
