Pretoria, December 16, 2022.- The president of South Africa and president of the African National Congress (ANC), Cyril Ramaphosa, expressed the deep gratitude of the South African people to Cuba for its support in the fight against apartheid, during the opening speech of the 55th National Conference of the party.
In his words, the president thanked Cuba for sending doctors to the country at the worst moment of the Covid-19 pandemic and highlighted the importance of Cuba's collaboration for the development of South Africa.
In addition, he reiterated South Africa's unrestricted support for the Cuban people against the embargo, while calling for an end to this criminal policy, the attempts to isolate the country and all sanctions that are still are in force against it.
