Statement of the Join Committee of Democratic Trade Unions Sri Lanka. The American Administration has to remove Cuba of the list of states allegedly sponsoring terrorism

Cuba has been removed from a short list of countries the United States accuses of "not fully cooperating" in the fight against terrorism, a US State Department official has said. The official has shown that it is not appropriate to maintain the previously mentioned barriers to resume law enforcement cooperation between Cuba and the United States. Cuba has appeared as a country that does not fully support terrorism in the years 2022-2023 which led one reason America to take this decision.
Former US President Donald Trump, who was an extreme right-winger, had singled out Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism before leaving office. He hoped to bring down the Cuban people through economic sanctions. With that decision, the Cuban people had to suffer severe foreign currency difficulties, and they had to face a shortage of food, fuel and medicines. The heroic Cuban people did not allow the state to collapse amid all the obstacles. It is also a victory for the people fighting against imperialism all over the world.
In this regard, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez has stated that the Biden administration has accepted what everyone in the United States knows. But that alone is not enough and it is necessary to develop far-reaching relationships.
Millions of people including Trade Unions who appreciate democracy around the world are taking the lead to protect the Cuban state by showing cooperation. This move is showing that the inhumane sanctions maintained by the American regime should be removed immediately had to bow to the current Biden administration.
