Vientiane, January 18, 2025 The Lao friends ratify once more the unconditional support to Cuba and the Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of MINREX dated of 14 December 2025.
The mesures are in the correct way but not enough.
Statement of the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association
together with political and social organizations of peace-loving and justice-loving countries of the world, the Laos-Cuba Friendship Association considers the recent removal of Cuba from the list of US sponsors of terrorism as a correct but not sufficient step. In this spirit, we express our full support for the firm and principled position of the revolutionary government of Cuba through the dignified statement of its Minrex on January 14, 2025 on the decision of the US government to remove independent Cuba from the illegal list under its own manipulation.
As everyone knows very well, Cuba has made many cooperative efforts at the international and regional levels in the uncompromising fight against terrorism everywhere as the Cuban people themselves have suffered from terrorist acts for many decades.
Once again, our Friendship Association, as well as all former graduate students in Cuba and the entire people of Laos, continue to call on the new US administration to consider unconditionally ending the criminal and brutal blockade against the sovereignty and dignity of the Cuban people imposed for more than 6 decades.
Enough of the policy of aggression and hostility against Cuba and the time has come to let the Cuban people live free of the blockade and all coercive measures.
Long live free and sovereign Cuba!
