Students from the Innisdale School are received at the General Consulate of Cuba in Toronto.

Toronto, May 26, 2022 - The Consul General of Cuba in Toronto, Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, and the president of the Canada-Cuba Friendship Association (CCFA) of Toronto, Elizabeth Hill, held a meeting at the headquarters of the Cuban consulate in this city with eleventh grade students from Innisdale High School.

This meeting, which was also attended by professors from the school and consulate officials, was held as part of the Global Perspectives Program, in which a week is dedicated to the study of Cuba, as part of the academic exchange with the University of Matanzas, where students completed an extensive academic program of interaction with Cuban society.

The General Consul answered questions on the political and economic-commercial relations between the two countries, Cuba's foreign policy and the future of our country, with special attention to the denunciations of the criminal blockade of the United States against our country.

On the other hand, the president of the CCFA Toronto spoke about the work of the existing groups of solidarity with Cuba in Canada and with testimonies of their long trajectory, motivated the participants in building relations of love and respect between both peoples.
