On the evening of November 25, the sixth anniversary of the physical disappearance of our Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, was commemorated in Toronto, in a warm activity organized by the solidarity group Toronto Forum On Cuba.
Those present learned more about Fidel's life through the screening of documentaries and several musical presentations were made to pay tribute to his legacy.
Consul Tania Valenzuela recalled the achievements of the Revolution under Fidel's guidance and reiterated that Cuba maintains the revolutionary principles as well as the achievements of the revolution defended by our Commander in Chief. During his speech, he also condemned the US economic blockade against Cuba, as well as the unjust inclusion of the island in the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
The president of the solidarity group Toronto Forum On Cuba thanked Cuba for all the signs of affection and support to the Palestinian cause and recognized Fidel as its greatest exponent.
The space was also propitious to exchange on the current situation in Cuba and to ratify the love and solidarity of the Canadian people with the Cuban people.
