Ottawa, November 25, 2019 - On the third anniversary of the passing away of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, the Cuban Embassy in Canada paid tribute to his legacy.
As part of the tribute, the documentary "Fidel in the memory of the people" was screened, in which Cuban personalities relate their life experiences with the leader of the Revolution.
The words of the educator Marcia Krawll was the emotional moment of the evening. She had the opportunity to meet the Commander in Chief in 2005, when together with her husband, Rongo Wetere and a group of Cuban pedagogues, introduced the "Yes I Can" method in New Zealand to raise literacy levels among adult students of Indigenous University.
In her own words, Ambassador Josefina Vidal recalled the legacy of the Commander in Chief and referred to his ties with Canada.
The tribute was propitious to exhibit photographs of the photo exhibition "Commander" by Roberto Chile.
Attended the evening representatives of the diplomatic corps, friends of the solidarity, Cuban residents and the Embassy staff.
