Pretoria, October 20, 2024 - The Cuban Embassy in South Africa celebrated National Culture Day this Friday with a special quiz on Cuban idiosyncrasy, customs and art, with the participation of the diplomatic mission's staff, employees working in the country and Cuban residents.
The activity began with the singing of the National Anthem, in commemoration of the 156th anniversary of the first time its notes were sung.
The competition covered the fields of literature, painting, cinema and music, in a perfect combination of the best exponents of our national culture. There was also no lack of popular sayings to complete the evening.
To the rhythm of Omara Portuondo and Polo Montañez and with fragments from the popular series Algo más que soñar and Julito el pescador, the Cuban State Mission in South Africa celebrated this important date.
