Port of Spain, April 12. -The Honorable Senator and Minister of Foreign Affairs and CARICOM of Trinidad and Tobago, Dennis Moses, received H.E. Guillermo Vázquez Moreno, ambassador of Cuba in the headquarters of the Chancellery. The meeting was conducive to review important issues on the bilateral agenda.
Cuba and Trinidad and Tobago are exploring new possibilities for cooperation in several fields, which could lead to the signing of new governmental cooperation agreements on Public Health, Culture, Tourism, Energy, among others.
Both sides noted the excellent state of bilateral trade relations, which statistics in 2016 showed that Trinidad and Tobago has become the main partners of Cuba in Caribbean and of the most important in the Latin American region.
The Minister ratified the position of his country in support Cuba´s struggle for the definitive lifting of the US´s Blockade policies.
