The VI Regional Meeting of Cuban Residents in Latin America and the Caribbean was promoted in Saint Christopher and Nevis.
Basseterre, February 27, 2023: On Monday morning, Dr. Ladislao Taquechel Lescaille, president of the Association of Cuban Residents in this Federation, was received at the Cuban Embassy in St Kitts and Nevis. He was given preliminary information about the VI Regional Meeting of Cuban Residents in Latin America and the Caribbean, to be held next June in Venezuela.
Counsellor Ivón Tomé Flis, in charge of consular affairs in this town, explained to Dr. Taquechel the importance of these appointments, by contributing to the strengthening of Cuba's ties with its nationals based outside the country. Feeling closer to their Homeland, by participating in the Cuban development processes, is a common interest manifested by many Cubans living abroad/ These nationals have many more diverse possibilities to contribute and be part of such processes.
Cubans living in other nations participated in the discussion of the project of the new Cuban Constitution, the new Code of Families and more recently, it was ratified by the Cuban Government during the 38th edition of FIHAV, their will to invest in the country and be part of the nation's economic growth.
