Vice President of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Liberian Senate claims Nobel Peace Prize for Cuban doctors.

Monrovia, October 9, 2020 - The Vice-Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Senate of Liberia, Senator Conmany B. Wesseh stressed that the Cuban Medical Brigade Henry Reeve, who fought against Ebola in his country, Sierra Leone and Guinea, deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.

In a meeting with the Head of the Diplomatic Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, he noted that for decades, Cuban doctors have dedicated themselves to voluntary humanitarian work to save lives and heal the sick around the world, particularly in some of the most impoverished and disease-ridden countries.

He stressed that Cuban solidarity has no barriers, highlighted the internationalism of Cuban health workers and recognized the achievements of the Caribbean nation in confronting the pandemic, despite the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington.
